Prince Andrew Striped Of All Military And Royal Titles And Post Over Sexual Abuse Case

Buckingham Palace has announced that Prince Andrew will lose his military titles.

The judgment follows a US judge’s decision to allow a civil sexual assault action against the Duke of York to proceed to trial. However, Andrew refutes each and every claim.

According to the statement released by the palace, It said: “With the Queen’s approval and agreement, the Duke of York’s military affiliations and royal patronages have been returned to the Queen.

“The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen.”

Prince Andrew is also expected to quit using the title ‘His Royal Highness,’ or ‘HRH,’ in any official role.

Other members of the royal family will take on the duke’s current responsibilities. The specific details are yet to be revealed.

Andrew is also facing a civil sexual assault trial in the United States after a judge ruled the case could proceed on Wednesday.

Virginia Giuffre, the prosecutor, is suing the Duke of Edinburgh in the United States for allegedly sexually assaulting her as a minor.

She stated that she was trafficked to have sex with Andrew when she was 17 and a minor under US law by convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew has denied all accusations against him.

More than 150 veterans from the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, and Army wrote an open letter to the Queen on Thursday, urging her to remove Andrew from his honorary military positions.

Former servicemen and women claimed they were “upset and angry” that he continued to serve in the armed forces and held military titles, posts, and ranks, including Vice-Admiral of the Royal Navy.

They said, “Were this any other senior military officer it is inconceivable that he would still be in post.”
