STORE UP TREASURES FOR YOURSELF IN HEAVEN AND BE HAPPY

What should our true treasure be if it’s not just money or earthly wealth? What do we treasure most?

Often, we accumulate material possessions because we lack trust and feel insecure. In the Bible, during the forty years in the desert, the people were tested to see if they were capable of trusting God’s provision. They were asked to gather only the necessary manna for a single day and not to accumulate for the following day.

When we share or give to others, do we give most of what we have and keep only what we need for the day, or do we give just a small portion and keep the rest for ourselves? Does our focus on material accumulation distract us from our relationship with God?

Let’s not become desperately attached to anything in this world, but seek the Lord, who is the greatest treasure of all.
