UNLEASH THE POTENTIAL OF OTHERS AND CELEBRATE THEIR STRENGTHS!

When we dive into the incredible story of Barnabas, we can’t help but think of his amazing companion, St. Paul. Barnabas wasn’t just a travel buddy; he was a true source of encouragement! Remember, many in the early church were wary of Paul, the notorious persecutor turned apostle. But not Barnabas! He stood tall and proud by Paul’s side when others turned away.

When the Jerusalem Church needed a bold leader to head to Antioch, where a wave of new believers was rising, they sent Barnabas, “a good man, filled with the Holy Spirit and faith.” He arrived in Antioch and instantly ignited hope, urging everyone to stay true to the Lord with all their hearts. And yes, he called on Paul to join him in this amazing mission!

So today, let’s lift our hearts in prayer to St. Barnabas! Teach us how to encourage those seeking the Lord with passion. Introduce us to Paul and those feeling left out or alone. Take us with you on the next adventurous voyage with Mark! Show us how to be a beacon of compassion to those feeling down. Let’s focus on revealing not their failures but the incredible potential that lies within everyone.

On this special feast day of yours, Barnabas, inspire us to be encouragers, loyal friends, and compassionate souls. Help us to be “good, filled with the Holy Spirit and faith.” Amen!

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
