GOD’S WORD IS ALIVE AND THE SAME

Today’s gospel passage emphasizes the unchanging nature of God’s word and the importance of contemplating one’s destiny. It discusses the consequences of rejecting salvation and emphasizes the need for repentance and faith.

The Gospel of Matthew (11:20-24) is cited to illustrate the potential future of the cities of Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum if they fail to heed the message of salvation. The rejection of Christ by those who were familiar with Him is highlighted, raising questions about individual morality and the nature of one’s community.

It also underscores the responsibility of Christians to embrace their faith and not merely understand it intellectually. Thus, the gospel encourages individuals to consider the future and entrust it to God.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
