Thursday Of The 4th Week Of Lent

In today’s Gospel (John 5:31-47), Jesus says, “But, you do not want to come to me to have life.”

How often have we, in our humanness, ignored Jesus and attempted to do all things on our own?  How many of us search for something which will fill an emptiness in our hearts? How many of us can sacrifice for the sake of others.

Thursday of the 4th week of Lent

Wars are fought because people want something… land, control, whatever… Relationships are destroyed because of greedy desire and those who decide it’s ok to act on it.

People drop into the depths of despair and addiction, looking for something they don’t have, which could be spiritual, emotional, or tangible. But Jesus says, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.”  (Matthew 6:33, May we continue to count our blessings and follow in Christ’s footsteps. Amen

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
