Ukraine’s leader, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has disclosed his family’s wealth, earnings, expenditures, and financial commitments for the year 2024.
The Presidential Office released the Ukrainian president’s statement on Sunday, March 30, aligning with the nation’s efforts to combat corruption.
In 2024, Zelenskyy’s family earnings amounted to Hr 15,286,193 ($368,556), which included Hr 8,585,532 ($207,000) gained from selling government bonds.
The revenue, made up of the president’s wages, bank interest, and income from leasing private properties, was marginally greater than the $316,700 recorded in 2023.
The Presidential Office explained that the rise in the 2024 income stemmed from the restoration of complete rental payments.
“There were no other significant changes in the assets, real estate, or vehicles of the President’s family last year,” the details specified.
The compulsory electronic asset reporting for public servants in Ukraine was established in 2014 to foster openness and responsibility.
The yearly submission was halted in 2022 following Russia’s invasion but was brought back in October 2023 after Zelenskyy enacted legislation reinstating the declarations.
