Ayo Makun Sparks Conversation On Taking Responsibility And Emotional Neglect

AY, a Nigerian comedian and actor, has discussed emotional neglect and responsibility.

He claimed on his Twitter page that picking a side has become so commonplace that people are no longer asked what went wrong.

“We have normalised choosing sides so much that we no longer ask what truly went wrong.

Emotional neglect is painful. Betrayal is painful, too.

One hurt should not automatically become justification for another.

Maybe relationships would survive more if accountability were shared instead of outsourced”.

In conclusion, emotional neglect can be profoundly painful, leaving individuals feeling unseen, unheard, and disconnected. Its silent pain can erode self-worth and foster feelings of loneliness, making it a challenge to heal and move forward. Recognizing and addressing emotional neglect is essential to nurturing healthier relationships and fostering emotional well-being.
