Bayern Munich Backs Out Of Contract Offer To Thomas Muller

German powerhouse Bayern Munich is reportedly prepared to abandon contract discussions with Thomas Muller, as per recent updates.

The German team appears poised to reclaim their status as league champions by the season’s end, following an outstanding performance led by Vincent Kompany.

Muller, though, has had a limited role in their achievements, starting only eight league matches for the Bavarian club and netting just one goal.

Consequently, sources in Germany suggest that Bayern are ready to step back from negotiations to extend Muller’s contract, which is due to expire in June.

Sky Sports Germany reports that, considering Muller’s substantial salary, keeping him in the squad offers little advantage as the club shifts its focus toward future development.

The source indicates that Muller earns £14.2million (€17m) annually, placing him among the club’s top earners.

Meanwhile, Uli Hoeness recently delivered a firm message to the seasoned striker, hinting that it might be time for Muller to leave Bayern Munich.

According to the outlet, he said: ‘If he’s only a substitute, I would advise him to retire.’
The report also notes that while Muller’s ‘fitness, enthusiasm and importance’ remain unquestionable, his limited playing time does not justify the high-value contract he currently holds.

Muller has been part of Bayern Munich since 2000, starting in the club’s youth academy at age 10 before stepping up to the first team in August 2008.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
