How Being Raped By A Male Colleague Still Traumatized Me — Actress Lolo

Nigerian actress and media personality Omotunde Adebowale-David, better known by her stage name Lolo 1, has talked about her horrific experience of being s*xually assaulted by a male colleague in the broadcasting sector.

Lolo disclosed that she was traumatized by the experience of being r*ped by a colleague.

The actress stated on a recent episode of her co-hosted podcast, “Say My Piece,” that she is unable to discuss the incident in great detail because she fears criticism for not speaking up sooner.

“But if a woman of my calibre named him, he’s an established person in the broadcast industry, won’t people say, ‘How come I didn’t speak about it for all these six years until now that he’s taking a prominent TV position?’

“When s*xual assault happens to women, the first thing to happen is denial. The next thing is self-blaming.”
