Driver, 50, Arrested Over S£xual Assault On 15-Year-Old Girl In Edo State

A 50-year-old driver, named Mohammed Ihuenuma, has been apprehended by officers of the Edo State Police Command for allegedly s£xually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in Benin City.

The suspect, reportedly the designated driver for one of the Special Advisers to Edo State governor, Monday Okpebholo, was detained by law enforcement following a tip from the victim’s father.

The accused is alleged to have repeatedly sought opportunities to inappropriately touch the teenager, who resides with her parents, whenever he visited their home on official duties.

According to sources, the driver had, on multiple occasions, touched the girl inappropriately, attempting to lure her, DailyTrust reports.

It was learned that after several such incidents, the girl disclosed the issue to her mother, who subsequently informed her father about the situation.

The father then reported the matter to the authorities, resulting in the suspect’s arrest.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Moses Yamu, confirmed the suspect’s arrest and stated that he would be thoroughly investigated and brought to court.

He urged the public to promptly report cases of r@pe, indecent assault, and defilement to the police for swift action.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
