Chelsea Complete Signing Of Portuguese Midfielder Dario Essugo

Chelsea have officially announced the acquisition of midfielder Dario Essugo from Sporting CP, securing him on a long-term contract.

An agreement was reached between the two clubs earlier this year, with Sporting stating that Chelsea will pay a €22.3m fee for the 20-year-old.

He has committed to a long-term deal at Stamford Bridge, signing a contract that extends until June 2033.

Essugo will integrate with the Chelsea team for their upcoming trip to the United States later this month for the Club.

The midfielder was on loan at Las Palmas last season, where he performed impressively in a struggling team, making 27 appearances throughout the season as the club faced relegation from La Liga.

Essugo holds the record as the youngest player to appear for the Portuguese club, debuting at 16 years and six days old in March 2021.

He has played for Portugal at every youth international level, from the under-15s to the under-21s.

Essugo is expected to be soon joined by Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap, who has completed his medical and finalized a £30m transfer.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
