Trump And Elon Musk Expected To Speak Privately After Public Fall Out

US President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk are anticipated to hold a private conversation, following a public dispute that escalated into an open conflict.

A White House official verified the call, which was organized at the insistence of Donald Trump’s aides, who have been working discreetly to ease tensions between the two, according to the New York Post.

The scheduled discussion comes as Donald Trump sought to minimize the conflict, telling Politico, “Oh, it’s okay. It’s going very well- never done better.”

The US President also boasted about his approval ratings, stating, “The numbers are through the roof, the highest polls I’ve ever had and I have to go.”

Their conflict intensified after Donald Trump publicly criticized Elon Musk during a White House press briefing for opposing a tax bill.

The remarks followed Donald Trump’s endorsement of a new bill that could significantly affect electric vehicle manufacturers, including Elon Musk’s company Tesla.

“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will anymore,” Donald Trump said, adding, “He hasn’t said bad about me personally, but I’m sure that’ll be next.”

Elon Musk, who has grown increasingly outspoken in his criticism of Donald Trump’s policy proposals, issued a sharp response on social media, posting on X (formerly Twitter), “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House, and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate… Such ingratitude.”

He then publicly supported the notion that Donald Trump should be impeached and replaced by Vice President JD Vance. The Tesla CEO alleged that Donald Trump is named in the sealed Epstein files, suggesting that’s why they remain unreleased.

He wrote, “Time to drop the really big bomb: Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

Elon Musk followed the post with, “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
