Pastor Paul Adefarasin Speaks On Viral ‘Gun’ Video

In response to a widely shared video that showed him brandishing what seemed to be a gun, Pastor Paul Adefarasin issues warning to a content creator.

The lead pastor of House on the Rock trended over the video on Friday, June 6. He was seen driving down in the video as a content creator recorded his vehicle.

He held what viewers claimed was a revolver in his hand as he walked up to the person filming, rolled down his window, and warned the content creator.

The pastor quickly left once the video creator apologized. Nigerians were incensed by the footage and wondered why a preacher would brandish a gun at an unarmed civilian.

Pastor Paul has now addressed the incident.

Speaking in church today, June 8, he said: “This is not merely an attack on a local church or a pastor. It is an organised strategy of the one that we war with. We donot wrestle against flesh and blood but against spiritual powers and princes, spiritual wickedness in heavenly places, spiritual wickedness in high places, and a range of about thirteen cadet of demonic hosts.

“So, the enticement of the enemy is always the love of money at the root of all evil.

“What we have had to witness was clickbaiters just looking for more money. I probably wasn’t even their target, their target was to make more money.

“I was falsely accused of bearing a firearm, pointing a firearm at an aggressive content creator who came withing personal distance. The only thing separating me and him was about maybe three quarters of a meter and glass.

“I do not have a pistol license for a firearm, I do not carry a firearm, and I pointed no firearm at anybody.”

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
