Your Good Work Has Killed Coalition – Wike Tells Tinubu

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has proclaimed that the developmental initiatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly within the FCT, have successfully dismantled any opposition coalition seeking to challenge the current administration in the 2027 elections.

Wike delivered these remarks on Wednesday during the inauguration of significant infrastructure projects in Abuja, such as the Maitama-Gishiri Bridge and the link roads connecting Katampe, Jahi, and Mabushi.

In recent months, opposition figures, including former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, have been attempting to form a unified front in preparation for the 2027 general elections. However, internal conflicts within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and difficulties in achieving consensus across party lines have hindered progress toward establishing a credible coalition.

Speaking to the audience at the event, Wike emphasized that the president’s achievements, particularly in executing capital projects, have significantly undermined the opposition’s plans.

“The coalition is bound to fail and it has failed. Your good works have killed coalition,” Wike stated, addressing President Tinubu directly.

Reiterating his allegiance to the administration, the minister further remarked, “Some people will not be happy; many of them were born not to be happy. Under Tinubu, contractors now have confidence in the government. Your good works have killed the coalition in Nigeria.”

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
