NBA player Dillon Brooks is pursuing a restraining order against his former partner, Heather Andrews, amid an increasingly acrimonious dispute following their breakup.
According to court documents acquired by TMZ Sports, Brooks submitted a request for a temporary restraining order (TRO) in Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 25, claiming Andrews has engaged in a pattern of harassment, destruction, and threats spanning several years.
Brooks and Andrews share two children, aged five and two. The Houston Rockets forward, recently traded to the Phoenix Suns in a deal involving Kevin Durant, alleges that Andrews has damaged his property, hacked his social media accounts, and even threatened physical violence.
In his filing, Brooks stated that the pair met in 2018 at a nightclub in Las Vegas and began dating soon after. He noted that Andrews became pregnant within months, and it was around that time the alleged harassment started.
He described receiving “emotionally abusive” messages and claimed Andrews frequently leaked their private conversations to gossip outlets to tarnish his reputation. The situation, he alleged, worsened after the birth of their second child, with the messages becoming more violent and threatening.
Brooks cited one message he claims came from Andrews, which read: “I’ll habe [sic] someone cut each one of your f***ing little fingers off one by one… So you can never play basketball LOL… And actually now I understand why people are racist.” Another message allegedly stated: “I am going to have you hurt.”
He also alleged threats were made against his mother, quoting Andrews as saying, “I’ll send someone after your mom to [sic] bitch.”
In addition, Brooks claims that in 2022, during his tenure with the Memphis Grizzlies, Andrews vandalized his Memphis home by scrawling “You Suck Bitch” and other messages on his outdoor fireplace mantle.
Most recently, Brooks accused Andrews of gaining unauthorized access to his OurFamilyWizard account, a platform used for co-parenting, and sending herself a threatening message while impersonating him.
The filing follows Andrews’ own legal action last year, when she obtained a temporary restraining order against Brooks, alleging harassment and threats.
A court hearing to address the restraining order requests from both sides is expected to take place in Los Angeles late next month.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
