NAPTIP Declares Speed Darlington Wanted For Alleged R3pe, Cyberbullying And Stalking

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has officially declared Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, a wanted individual.

In a statement released on Friday, June 27, 2025, the agency announced that the controversial artist is being sought for alleged offenses involving r3pe, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.

The statement called on the public to provide any useful information regarding his whereabouts to assist the agency.

“Darlington Okoye, aka Speed Darlington, is wanted in connection with alleged offences including r3pe, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking. Anyone with credible information on his whereabouts is urged to contact NAPTIP immediately. Call: 07030000203. info@naptip.gov.ng. Shortcode: 627. Let’s work together to ensure justice is served,” the statement read.

NAPTIP had previously summoned the singer for questioning regarding his claim of engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl in a hotel, but he failed to appear at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja.

Speed Darlington made this claim in a video that rapidly gained traction online, sparking significant public outrage among Nigerians, who accused him of statutory r3pe.

The singer subsequently retracted his statement, asserting that it was merely a publicity stunt intended to promote his music.

Social commentator Isaac Fayose later revealed that the girl referenced in the video plans to lodge a formal complaint with the police.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
