NCAA Petitions Attorney-General And IGP To Prosecute KWAM1

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has formally requested the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Inspector-General of Police to initiate a detailed investigation into an incident involving the renowned musician, King Wasiu Omagbolahan Olasunkanmi Adewale Ayinde Marshal, widely known as K1 De Ultimate, and the domestic airline ValueJet.

The incident, which took place on Tuesday, 5th August 2025, reportedly interfered with standard operational procedures and sparked concerns regarding passenger behavior and airline safety protocols.

According to a statement from the agency, preliminary reports indicate that during a scheduled ValueJet flight VK201, K1 De Ultimate was allegedly involved in actions that contravene the Nigeria Civil Aviation regulations.

In a letter sent to both the Attorney-General and the Inspector-General of Police, the NCAA urged a thorough criminal investigation and the commencement of appropriate prosecution in line with the provisions of the Nigeria Civil Aviation regulations (Nig. CARs) 2023 supra and all other relevant laws.

‘’Furthermore, and in light of the growing concern, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Capt. Chris Najomo, has also issued an advisory to the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON), urging the immediate consideration and institution of a No-Fly List for K1 De Ultimate(on any commercial flight), pending the outcome of official investigations.

This advisory is in line with global aviation standards that prioritize the safety of passengers, crew, and airline operations.” the statement reads in part

The NCAA, in its statement, reaffirmed its dedication to ensuring that no individual, irrespective of their prominence or public persona, compromises the integrity of Nigeria’s aviation industry, as all passengers are held to the same standards of conduct and compliance within the country’s airspace.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
