FCT Police Arrest Seven Notorious One-Chance Suspects Over M8rder Of Graduate

Personnel from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have apprehended seven alleged “one-chance” kidnappers linked to the m8rder of Miss Oluchi Opara Glory.

Opara was m8rdered soon after completing her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in Abuja.

The arrests resulted from a petition lodged on July 21, 2025, by Onyegbula Akujuobi & Co. legal practitioners with the Inspector General of Police, which was referred to the FCT Police Commissioner and acted upon by the Scorpion Squad, under the leadership of ACP Victor O. Godfrey.

Security expert Zagazola Makama reported that the suspects were detained between August 8 and September 25, 2025, based on actionable digital and reconstructive intelligence.

The apprehended suspects include: Solomon Obada (29), from Ado LGA, Benue, living in Mararaba, Nasarawa State; Olemba Ajonwe (29), from Otukpo LGA, Benue, residing in Aso, Mararaba; Aba Godwin (40), from Ogwarigbo, Benue, living in Mararaba, recently released from prison two months ago for a “one chance” case; Kadijat Yakubu (18), from Sokoto State, residing in Badarawa, Kaduna State.

Other suspects include Sunday Ejih Okpeh (29), from Otukpo, Benue, living in Aso, Mararaba; Joseph Oche Samuel (25), from Benue, residing in Aso, Mararaba; Michael Sunday Eneh (25), from Cross River State, living in Aso.

Sources indicated that the victim’s mobile phone was forensically traced and retrieved in Kaduna from suspect Kadijat Yakubu.

During questioning, suspects Obada and Ajonwe admitted to holding the victim inside their operational vehicle, a blue Golf car, and st@bbing her during a struggle over her android phone.

They further admitted to abandoning her while she was bleeding in Wuse II, Abuja.

The police stated that efforts were ongoing to locate the victim and capture one fugitive suspect still at large.

Items seized from the suspects include the victim’s phone and the operational vehicle.

The sources confirmed that the investigation was ongoing and that justice would be served.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
