In a heartfelt proclamation, Dele Omosehin, the driving force behind the Asejere Progressive Movement, emphasized that his commitment to serving the community takes precedence over politics. Speaking at the lively Unity Cup Final between Alumagidi FC and Embavic FC at the Government Field in Okitipupa, he shared his vision for the future.

The Unity Cup, an annual celebration of talent and community spirit, is proudly sponsored by the Dele Omosehin Foundation (DOF), a dedicated non-profit organization aimed at uplifting the underprivileged and vulnerable members of society.
“I want to make it crystal clear,” Omosehin stated passionately, “my desire to represent the Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives isn’t a shift away from service; it’s an expansion of it. I believe that in politics, service should always come first.”
As the founder of DOF, Omosehin’s ambitions in politics are anchored in the initiatives he’s already championed through his foundation. “My aim,” he said, “is to harness a broader platform to connect with even more people, support families, empower youth and women, and deliver impactful solutions at a larger scale.”
He went on to stress that this journey is not about personal ambitions. “It’s about you—the people. It’s about making sure every voice is amplified, every opportunity is seized, and no one gets left behind,” he declared.
Though he has previously steered clear of the political arena, Omosehin is stepping forward now, fueled by a fervent desire to do more good—and he’s calling on the community for support.
“I have witnessed what we can accomplish together through our collective efforts,” he said, his eyes shining with optimism. “Imagine the potential we can unlock when we unite with trust and a shared purpose. Together, we can achieve remarkable things!”
