Manchester United has named Michael Carrick as their new interim manager till the end of the current season.
The development was confirmed by renowned transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, who disclosed that a deal had been in place since yesterday and had finally been completed, including plans for Carrick’s backroom staff.
“Michael Carrick signs in as new Manchester United caretaker manager until the end of the season. Verbal agreement since yesterday, now sorted in all details + backroom staff also. #MUFC official announcement to follow next,” Romano wrote.
Former United footballer and coach Carrick returns to the Old Trafford dugout at a critical juncture as the team seeks to stabilize its campaign and aim for a successful season finale.
