Ron Kenoly, a renowned gospel singer and worship leader, passed away at the age of 81.
On Tuesday, a number of gospel musicians acknowledged Kenoly’s passing and expressed their grief on social media.
Nigerian gospel musician Nathaniel Bassey responded to the news by honoring the late worship legend on Instagram.
“Dr Ron Kenoly crosses to yonder side,” Bassey wrote. “Thank you for inspiring generations of psalmists like me. I grew up on these songs. And today, others are growing up on ours. Thank you sir.”
Ron Kenoly was celebrated globally for his powerful worship songs that shaped contemporary gospel music across generations. Some of his popular songs include Majesty, Righteousness, Peace & Joy, Anointing, All Honour and Sing Out.
Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord and let the perpetual light shine upon him .Amen.
