Tems has discussed the focus on her beauty and figure. In order to avoid drawing attention to her physique, the singer used to dress loosely when attending studio sessions, she disclosed in an interview.

I was going to a lot of studios alone, meeting people I have never met, people we don’t know each other. I’ll message people and tell them I’ve been working on this.
