Davido Ignites Coachella Crowd With Afrobeats Showcase, Waves Nigerian Flag On Stage

Davido delivers electrifying Coachella performance, thrilling fans with Afrobeats hits, surprise guest appearance, and strong Nigerian cultural presence

Nigerian music star Davido delivered a high-energy performance at the Coachella, captivating a packed audience with a vibrant showcase of Afrobeats on the Gobi Stage.

The singer took to the stage on April 11 during Weekend 1 of the festival in Indio, where he performed a 45-minute set comprising 16 tracks that spanned his career, blending early classics with newer releases.

Opening with crowd favourites, Davido thrilled fans with hit songs including Skelewu, If, Fall and Gobe, as the audience sang along word-for-word, turning the performance into a shared cultural moment.

He also delivered tracks from his latest album 5IVE, including UNAVAILABLE and FEEL!, reinforcing his continued dominance in the global Afrobeats scene.

In one of the standout moments of the night, Davido surprised fans by bringing out fellow Nigerian artist Adekunle Gold to perform their collaboration HIGH, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.

He closed the set with With You, creatively incorporating an intro inspired by Thriller by Michael Jackson, before proudly waving the Nigerian flag an emotional highlight that underscored his representation of the country on a global stage.

Davido stood out as the sole Nigerian performer among a lineup that featured global headliners such as Justin Bieber, further cementing Afrobeats’ expanding international reach.
