Comedian I Go Save Expresses Concern Over Growing Beggars’ Crisis In Lagos

I Go Save, a Nigerian stand-up comedian, has criticized Lagos’s “growing pandemic” of beggars and demanded that the government step in right away.

The comedian compared begging customs in different parts of the world in a post on his Instagram story.

He claimed that while beggars in Lagos hold stones, those in northern Nigeria hold plates.

“In the Northern parts of Nigeria, beggars hold plates, but in Lagos, beggars hold stones.

“The government needs to stop this growing pandemic in Lagos instantaneously,” he wrote.

Comedian I Go Save highlights a pressing social issue in Lagos—the rising epidemic of beggars. His commentary not only brings awareness to the challenge but also encourages reflection on the societal factors contributing to this situation.

Addressing such concerns requires collective efforts from the community and policymakers to create sustainable solutions. Through humor and honesty, I Go Save reminds us of the importance of compassion and action in overcoming urban hardships.
