Actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has denied rumors that she ignored Wasiu Pasuma, a Fuji star, at a recent public gathering.
The allegation came after a user named @UOladiti posted a video on X claiming that the actress publicly ignored Pasuma.
Akindele greeted actress Fathia Balogun at her birthday celebration while Pasuma sat close by in the edited video, which subsequently went viral online.
In response to the allegation on X on Sunday, Akindele stated that she had greeted and danced with the Fuji star and that the video did not tell the whole story.
“Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity pls. I saw him, greeted him, danced with him. Pasuma is my egbon. Pls you all should stop this evil,” she wrote.
As guests moved around the venue, Pasuma was seen in the brief video sitting at a table and staring at his phone.
Akindele allegedly “stylishly snubbed” the Fuji singer, according to the video’s caption.
Akindele was seen greeting other guests after exchanging pleasantries with Pasuma in a longer version of the video that was later posted online.
The longer video was also shared by some of the actress’s fans, who claimed that the shorter clip had been altered to give the wrong impression.
