Afrobeat musician Made Kuti has disclosed that he did not kneel when he proposed to his wife, Inedoye Onyenso, because he saw marriage as a shared rather than a one-sided decision.
On a recent episode of the Timeless Podcast on the Nix Network YouTube channel, the 30-year-old made the remark.
He claimed to have told his wife that they weren’t pleading with one another to be together.
“I did not go down on my knees when proposing to my wife because I told her it was a mutual decision. We are not begging each other to be with each other,” he said.
This is simply Made Kuti’s personal belief, and everyone has their own way of expressing love. Many people may feel that kneeling is an essential part of proposing, while others might choose a different approach.
Ultimately, love is what truly matters, and it is the foundation of their relationship. As long as love and understanding remain at the core, the manner of the proposal becomes a beautiful personal choice.
