A few months after the passing of his close friend and coworker, Alex Ekubo, actor IK Ogbonna declared his return to the business.
Ogbonna, who has been dealing with the emotional fallout from Ekubo’s death, said the time has been difficult as he and those close to the late actor have struggled to find their footing.
In an Instagram video, the actor acknowledged that things have changed since Ekubo’s passing.
He wrote;
“Life felt different after Alex’s death. I know I haven’t been really present, and it’s been a lot to comprehend. I think we’ve all been attempting to rediscover our rhythm in various ways.
“I just wanted to express my gratitude for your understanding, patience, and holding things down.
It’s time to regain our footing, sharpen our focus, and resume our work. We have a lot ahead of us, and I’m prepared. “Come on.”
Welcome back, IK Ogbonna. Your return to Nollywood is truly celebrated. May Alexx’s soul rest in perfect peace, and may his memory continue to inspire us all.
