Femi Lazarus Speaks Out In Support Of Arome Osayi

Following criticism of remarks made by fellow preacher Apostle Arome Osayi regarding Nigeria’s spiritual mission, Nigerian pastor Femi Lazarus has stood up for the latter.

Following a sermon in which Osayi claimed that nations have different vocations and contrasted Nigeria’s progress with that of nations like China, the controversy erupted. He expressed his belief that Nigeria’s calling was related to revival and that the nation could create something spiritually important for other countries.

His comments generated controversy on the internet, with some Nigerians contesting his viewpoint and casting doubt on the comparison of Nigeria’s development to that of other nations.

In response to the criticism, Lazarus advised Christians to resolve conflicts amicably and sensibly. While acknowledging that preachers can make mistakes and that people may not always agree, he insisted that disagreements should stay within moral bounds.

Lazarus denounced the ridicule and assaults aimed at Osayi, characterizing him as a gift to the Christian community.

He cautioned that such internal criticism can weaken the larger Christian community and added that Christians should be able to disagree respectfully rather than tear each other down.

Ultimately, people should be more thoughtful and measured in their responses. Rather than attacking pastors or searching for faults in every statement, let’s engage respectfully, consider the full context, and focus on constructive conversations.
