Couple Separates On Wedding Day Over A Song Played On The Request Of The Bride

According to reports, a guy divorced his wife after she requested and danced to a song during their wedding, causing a major family feud.

After a quarrel during their Baghdad celebrations, the couple ended things, setting a new record for the shortest marriage.

According to local witnesses, the woman requested Lamis Kan’s Syrian song Mesaytara. The translation of the title is ‘I am dominant or I will control you’.

The lyrics of the song begins like this: “I am dominant; you will be ruled under my strict instructions, I will drive you crazy if you looked at other girls on the street.

“Yes, I’m dominant, you’re my piece of sugar. As long as you’re with me, you’ll walk under my command.”

The bride was said to be dancing to the song and having a good time at her wedding, but the groom’s family was not happy, resulting in a major feud between the two families.

This isn’t the first time this has happened; in Jordan last year, the song was blamed for another divorce.

The quick divorce isn’t the only wedding mishap this week; following a cruel prank, a groom prohibited his sister from his big day.

The undisclosed spouse wrote to Slate’s Dear Prudence agony aunt column about how the 20-year-old sister revealed during the party that she had brought along “a special surprise guest”

She then brought in “a skeleton dressed up in a ‘sister of the bride’ t-shirt”. The ‘joke’ is that the bride’s younger sister died when she was only 16 years old.

The letter’s unnamed author is understandably enraged by his sister’s callous surprise,’ and is currently not communicating with her, noting, “I don’t know what you could even say”

Even though his sister has never been fond of his fiancée, they “still can’t believe she did something so theatrically cruel.”

Moreover, the whole of their family now wants the writer to apologize, condemning her acts as those of a “dumb kid” who “overstepped the mark” in her attempt to be “edgy” The sister, who the family claims is really remorseful about everything, hasn’t said anything other than to advise their sibling to “get over it, it wasn’t like it was ‘dead sister’s’ ACTUAL skeleton.”

The enraged partner, on the other hand, believes they can’t just push it aside and has decided to stick to their decision.

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
