A University of Lagos student has gone viral following her reaction to the present ASUU strike.

ASUU, the Academic Staff Union of Universities, called a month-long strike on February 14 as a warning to the Federal Government to meet its demands.

A Unilag female student was asked how she felt about the strike, and she expressed her delight.

She said, “I’m happy, it’s good news.”

She added that she enjoys photography and that the strike will allow her to devote more time to her hobby.

She went on to say that no one in Nigeria, including the government, is serious about school anymore, and that as a result, young people must find other ways to keep themselves occupied other than school.

The student said, “Obviously, no one is serious with school in this country, including the government themselves. So, you just have to find something going on for yourself, something that works for you, and school is not it.”

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
