The Mind Of A Nigerian Teen

Hey everyone, hope you’ve had a nice week so far. I’ve been taking long walks by myself nowadays, I’m not sure why. It’s made me ponder on certain things and have deep thoughts and conversations with myself in my head on some deep issues.

Firstly, our society is structured in a way that influences everyone to be successful and successful early. Not that being successful is a bad thing, but the pressure it puts on the youths makes them engage in different means to make money fast, even if they’re evil mediums.

For instance, why are there so many cases of kidnapping, rape, and ritual killings? Even the recent cases of underwear theft and the sorts. All these things can be traced to the rampant search for quick wealth and fame. In the end, everything is vanity.

Social media which was meant to be a platform for communication and networking is now for showing off wealth, fame, and trends.

Youths really shouldn’t be led on by what they see, don’t let society define you, be yourself and trust in God Almighty, He will show you the way.

And remember, do not give in to the pressure of being someone you’re not just to please Society.

Have a great weekend 😍
