The administration and children of the God’s Love Orphans and Vulnerable Children’s Home, Okpekpe, Edo State, have taken time to thank and pray for Davido and his companions as they receive their part of his N250million naira donation.
The famous Nigerian artist who celebrated his birthday on the 21st of November 2021, was gifted by several celebrities, with the cash received amounting up to N200 million naira.
The musician decided to donate the money to orphanages around the country and added an additional N50 million naira.
According to Davido, God’s Love Orphanage in Okpekpe, Edo State, is number 80 on the list of benefited orphanage homes.
The God’s Love Orphans and Vulnerable Children’s Home has received a total of 597,940 naira.
The money was extremely appreciated by the organization as the proprietress (a retired nurse/matron) looks after the children on her pension of roughly 100k per month (with some occasional help from well-meaning individuals and organizations), which is insufficient in today’s Nigeria to look after 24 children.
The Home has produced two HND graduates, several trained craftsmen, and SSCE holders in the nearly 13 years that it has been in existence.
The kids require all of the help they can get.
