Young Man Murdered By Jealous Boyfriend For Allegedly Seeing His Lover.

In Ogun State, a jealous boyfriend is said to have assassinated another man for supposedly dating his girlfriend.

Alamu Aperin, the lover, is a native of Ogun State’s Imeko-Afon Local Government Area, according to the state’s Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole.

The CP told reporters that the event happened on Thursday, April 17.

Aperin allegedly confronted his victim, Joshua Alao, and accused him of seeing his girlfriend, Omolaso, according to Bankole. A tussle then erupted between Aperin and Alao, and the victim was stabbed on the right side of his chest. He was then rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, he died.

The incident was reported to Imeko divisional headquarters by one Benjamin Ojoloko, which led to the suspect’s apprehension.

Mr Benjamin, on the incident, said, “Alamu Aperin Adekanbi accosted Joshua Alao and accused him of dating his girlfriend, simply identified as Omolaso.

“Fight thereafter ensued between the duo, consequent upon which Alamu Aperin stabbed Joshua on the right side of his chest.

“The victim was rushed to the hospital but gave up the ghost while receiving treatment. The suspect was subsequently arrested.”
