“I Have Not Spoken To The New Owner; We Are Still Unsure Of Our Next Move” – Thomas Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea’s Boss has disclosed that he has yet to meet Todd Boehly, the club’s potential new owner, or learn how much money he has to spend in the transfer window this summer.

Tuchel stated this during his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League encounter on Wednesday against Leeds United.

Todd Boehly, an American billionaire, and his group are on the approach of completing a £4.25 billion takeover of Chelsea after agreeing on a deal last weekend.

Tuchel, when asked if he has met with Todd Boehly, said: “Absolutely not. Maybe if I had, I wouldn’t tell you! But I don’t have so I don’t need to lie.”

He continued, “Nothing has changed for us at Cobham, we are still waiting for the confirmation, for things to progress, to hopefully have news for you and for us, for the team, to inject some positive energy.

“It feels like it will come to an end and give us possibilities to act, but at this very moment it’s not like this.”

“We are the only club at the moment that suffers like this, maybe the first club that ever did this.

“These are steps in the right direction. We are waiting for it for a long time.

“We need positive energy and a competitive atmosphere at the club. It’s very important for things to progress.”

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
