80-Year-Old Arrested For Defiling 11-Year-Old In Borno

Saleh Bukar, an 80-year-old man, was arrested by officers from the Borno Police Command for allegedly defiling an 11-year-old girl.

The victim’s elder sister, Fatima Ali, learned about the assault when she saw an unusual discharge from the victim’s vagina, according to state Commissioner of Police Abdu Umar, who was presenting the suspect to the media today, June 15. According to her, the victim then came forward and claimed that Bukar had raped her several times.

Also, in a separate report, Umar stated that six individuals had been apprehended for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl. The individuals were apprehended in different parts of the state according to him.

Lawan Nasiru, 43, Musa Tukur, 50, Samaila Hassan, 60, and Garba Suleiman, 60, are the names of the six suspects, according to Umar.

He stated that the accused, who are from Maiduguri’s Hausari area, allegedly enticed their victim to a hideout where they had carnal knowledge of her. The suspects allegedly enticed the girl with money ranging from N200 to N500 in order to have carnal knowledge of her on several occasions.

According to the police, one Baba Goni of Kawuri village in Magumeri was also detained on April 28 for allegedly assaulting one Falmata Musa in a bush on the borders of the village and forcibly having carnal knowledge of her.

All suspects, according to Umar, will face charges in court.
