Cristiano Ronaldo’s Sister Slams Real Madrid President Over Comments On Her Brother

Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Perez has been criticized by Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister, Katy Aveiro, for playing down re-signing the Manchester United attacker due to his advanced age.

Responding to a Madrid fan who asked if the team will re-sign Ronaldo, the club’s all-time leading scorer with 451 goals, the president said, “Again? He is 38 years old.”

Ronaldo’s sister, Katy Aveiro reacted to Perez’s statement by defending her brother after she perceived the statement as an insult to the legendary striker.

Ronaldo’s sister wrote on Instagram, “He’s 38 years old but he can jump two metres high in the air and stay in it for three minutes and his body has no fat.”

“Respect yourself, old man, you are 75,” she said.

Although he is actually 37 years old, Ronaldo has been seeking to leave Manchester United this summer because of his desire to play in the Champions League but has had a difficult time luring offers from elite European teams.
