Mara Inés Peredowho, a teacher of S*x Education, is in danger of losing her job after requesting that her male pupils bring a c*ndom filled with their sp*rm to class.
The shocking instruction, which was intended to be part of a s*x education lecture on the male reproductive system, infuriated parents in Bolivia, and now the female teacher at the Juana Azurduy de Padilla school in the municipality of Minero may lose her job as a result.
Peredowho has apologized for the “misunderstanding” after being accused of corrupting students.
The teacher emphasized that the children were not mandated to do the “homework.”
She said, “I am a mother of a family with four small children and I am not a pervert.”
Peredowho continued by stating that the objective was to determine how long sp*rm can survive in a humid atmosphere.
“That was my goal as a teacher and not, as some media say, to pervert the students and have them masturbate and bring it in a jar, at no time was that my intention,” she said.
The lesson, according to the teacher, was to warn girls to stay away from the substance if they wanted to avoid getting pregnant.
She said, “I have not killed anyone, I have not raped anyone.
“If I have to go to jail for teaching a s*x education class, the population will tell, because sooner or later the young people are going to find out by one means or another, that I am imparting knowledge and if I have made a mistake I apologise to the entire society of Minero and Bolivia.”
The director of the Santa Cruz Special Force to Fight Violence, Carlos Oporto, speaking to reporters, said, “At the moment we are seeing the psychological interviews of Minero high school students.
“Depending on the outcome of those will decide if we are going to take measures.”
According to the school’s departmental director of education, Edwin Huayllani, “She has been suspended from the corresponding function for the duration of the investigation.”
