American Rapper, Cardi B has revealed that she wasn’t sad when her parents got divorced when she was 13 years old because she felt their separation would give her more freedom to explore without much strict supervision from them.
According to her, she said her cousin’s parents too went through a divorce at the same age, but her cousin reacted to her own parents separation in a sad manner, but the reverse was her own case.
In one of her interviews, she shared how her mother was a very disciplined person. She revealed that her childhood was very different from her kids. But she also remembers all the sacrifices her mum made and the shifts she took to raise her. Because she was 13 when her parents got divorced, leaving only two people in the home. To which she added “It was tough seeing my mom work so hard” as she was a single mom with a teenage girl.
