Erik ten Hag Gives Reason For Making Big Money Signing Of Brazilian Winger

Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, has explained why he signed Ajax sensation Antony for the Red Devils.

Ten Hag told the press before his team’s travel to Leicester on Thursday that the Red Devils have a lot of games to play.

He stated that Manchester United and Ajax had struck a deal for the 22-year-old Brazilian international’s signature, but stressed that paperwork was still pending.

He said, “Firstly I have to sign him! There’s an agreement between the clubs but the paperwork is not done so I cannot go too deep into that.

“Offense department we need to strengthen our squad.

“We have many games to cover – from now on we go in three games a week. Especially offensive players, they are quicker fatigued because they have to run more and run with higher intensity. We need numbers there, we need not just quantity but quality.”
