Turkish Club Terminated Super Eagles’ Ahmed Musa’s Contract

Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Super Eagles, has had his contract with Fatih Karagumruk, a Turkish Super Lig team, terminated by mutual agreement.

On Friday, September 2, the club announced Musa’s departure on its Twitter account.

The club said, “We have parted ways by mutual agreement with professional football player Ahmed Musa, who was included in our squad in the 2021-22 season,” it wrote.

“We would like to thank Ahmed Musa for his services to our club and wish him success in his future football career.”

After a short career at Kano Pillars, the 28-year-old forward transferred to the Turkish club in July 2021.

At the time of the announcement, neither the specifics nor the duration of the contract was made public.

The Eagles captain has now been made a free agent twice in the last two years.

The forward was also released by Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr before the end of his contract, which led him to rejoin Kano Pillars before moving to Turkey.
