A cult clash, which took place at the Awka on Saturday morning, reportedly resulted in the death of at least one person.
Daily Post had previously reported that there had been shootings along Ziks Avenue in Awka, where it was suspected that conflicting cult groups had broken out.
A member of one of the cult groups who was abducted by a rival group was later discovered dead in a different place, based on further investigation.
Additionally, it was reported that three people connected to the cult clash had been detained by Nigeria Police Force agents.
The investigation was still going on at the time this article was being written, according to DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for State Command who confirmed the incident.
Ikenga said: “One person was whisked away and later his lifeless body was found along Abba/Ifitedunu Road. Meanwhile, we have three suspects in custody, and operation is still ongoing.”
