Abia State Government Implements No Work, No Pay Policy

As a matter of policy, Abia Governor Okezi Ikpeazu has ordered the state to apply the no-work-no-pay rule.

State Government Secretary Chris Ezem issued a statement in Umuahia on Tuesday, expressing concern over the spate of constant strikes by some government agencies.

He pointed out that his actions were counterproductive and regressive.

Governments promise to pay all real workers their rights, and some politicians seek to intimidate and undermine the well-being of innocent citizens by politicizing workers’ well-being. He said he would resist any attempt to do so.

To that end, this notice is a call to all government agencies, law enforcement agencies, and the public to adhere to the above compliance policy.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
