Paul Okoye’s Ex-wife Anita Okoye Looks Back On Old Wounds

Anita Okoye, the ex-wife of singer Paul Okoye, finds herself on her emotional roller coaster as she reflects on her old wounds.

The mother of three, said she couldn’t help but get emotional while watching the movie The Wait because her script was so similar to her life.

The Wait is a 2021 Nigerian religious film about how a devoted doctor helped a desperate couple find a baby.

The movie’s plot definitely resembles that of Anita Okoye, who waited years to have another child.

It’s no longer news that Anita Okoye had four miscarriages before welcoming her twins Nathan and Nadia. In light of this, Anita revealed that her wounds reopened after seeing the film, while recognizing that she was a living testimony.

“This movie had me on a roller coaster of emotions… Having gone through 4 miscarriages myself, it undoubtedly reopened closed wounds.
But look at me today!!
There really is purpose in #The Wait and it truly is #WorthTheWait.
I am aware that occasionally the silence can be unbearably loud… Trust that God, in his infinite mercy will NEVER forsake you.
And it truly is a privilege to #WaitonGod I am living testimony!!”.

It’s often said that rain helps us appreciate the rainbow. That’s true for any of life’s challenges. Facing problems and struggling every now and then are simply inevitable. Regardless of how well we’ve planned for setbacks, trials come out of nowhere and cause painful situations. Dealing with uncomfortable emotions is never easy. But no matter the struggle, you have the power to overcome anything through perseverance and strength. It’s important to remember nothing is forever. In other words, this too shall pass, and your resilience will grow.
