The music entertainment industry has lost another multi-talented artist; Rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.
AKA was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting on Florida Road on Friday night, according to police sources in Durban.
Another person, who is thought to be AKA’s bodyguard, was also injured. A third unnamed person, who is thought to be AKA’s close friend, was shot and killed.
Although the provincial police had not yet made an official statement regarding the killings. Agnesisika’s blog has independently verified this information from reliable police sources; these sources cannot be named since they are not allowed to speak to the media.
The South African rapper was reportedly killed in a drive-by gunshot while he was standing outside the Wish Restaurant. He was 35 years old.
It’s thought that two unidentified automobiles started shooting a few minutes before 10 o’clock.
Florida Road has been closed off following the shooting incident, where two persons have been confirmed dead, according to Garrith Jamieson, a spokesman for ALS Paramedics.
A “renowned rapper” was reportedly among the dead, according to Jamieson.
At this point, it is unknown who the second victim of gunfire was, however, it is believed that he was an intimate friend of AKA.
The rapper was scheduled to perform at the Durban nightclub YUGO as part of his birthday celebrations, according to social media posts.
