The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been prevented from hiring Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, the head of the Lagos Parks and Garages, to distribute election materials in the state by Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of the Federal High Court in Lagos.
The Labour Party requested a court order prohibiting INEC from using MC Oluomo to distribute electoral materials in Lagos, and the court granted their request.

This comes after the news that MC Oluomo was appointed by INEC to handle the distribution of section material in the state.
The news upset many, as MC Oluomo is under the APC government of Lagos State and there can influence the election in their favour.
MC Oluomo is also viewed as a person of questionable character, controlling ‘area boys’ on the streets of Lagos, who in previous times, have reportedly been used as tools of violence during elections.
