God Gives Strength

Each new day presents a fresh chance to get closer to God. Before David ascended to the throne or penned any of the psalms, he was a plain man who desired to know the Creator. David’s devotion to God was unwavering throughout his life. He prayed to God during the good times and the bad.

David looked to the Lord for help when he was down and out. Habakkuk turned to God in prayer for direction. Jonah cried out to God while he was being digested by the fish. If they were able to accomplish it, so can we. Instead of acting on autopilot and handling matters in our own manner, we might redirect our focus away from our troubles and toward God.

Be reminded that the Lord can give you strength in any circumstance (Psalm 46:1). Make time for prayer every single day this week! The Almighty will surely fortify your resolve and you will feel so incredibly empowered.
