Benue Governor, Reverend Hyacinth Alia dismissed all political figures under the previous government of Governor Samuel Ortom.
The governor’s chief spokesperson, Tersoo Kula, told reporters in Makurdi on Thursday that the appointees had been ordered to hand over their duties to the top officials in their respective offices.
Kura said the decision came after Gov. Alia made an unscheduled visit to the MDA over the past three days, during which he exposed many corruptions and inefficiencies in managing public works projects.
Governor Alia expressed dissatisfaction on Tuesday with some of the appointees after visiting several government facilities unannounced.
