Moscow To Study African Leaders Peace Plan ‘Today’

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, informed African leaders today that Moscow respected and was carefully examining their peace proposal for Ukraine.

In addition, Putin stated that Russia was interested in expanding military cooperation with Africa and was increasing food supplies to the continent, including some free grain shipments that he had announced the day before.

The peace offer that African leaders gave to both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last month was not well received by either leader.

Zelensky has rejected the concept of a truce that would leave Russia in possession of almost a fifth of Ukraine and give Russian forces time to reorganize, while Putin originally responded by reciting a litany of Russian grievances against Ukraine and the West.

On the second day of the summit, Putin declared that Russia was ready to work more closely with African law enforcement and intelligence agencies and provide some weaponry to that continent at no cost.

He claimed that it would continue to be a dependable supplier of food while growing its agricultural exports. He claimed that Moscow has written off US$23 billion in debt without specifying when or naming the nations involved.
