Jimmy Odukoya, son of Bimbo and Taiwo Odukoya, has succeeded his father as senior pastor of Fountain of Life Church.
Jimmy was installed as senior pastor on Sunday during a church service.
During the service, Pastor Rotimi Okpaise revealed that the late Taiwo Odukoya shared his succession plan with the board before his death.
Okpaise added that Jimmy was chosen as senior pastor and board chairman by unanimous decision of the BoT.
“The board has chosen Saturday, September 30, 2023, as the date of Jimmy’s installation,” he said.
On August 7, the church’s founder, Odukoya, passed away in the United States at the age of 67.
Less than two years earlier, he had experienced the loss of his wife, Nomthi, a South African, on November 9, 2021, following a two-year battle with cancer.
Odukoya’s union with Nomthi lasted for 11 years and resulted in the birth of two boys.
Before his marriage to Nomthi, Odukoya had been married to Bimbo for 21 years, but tragically, Bimbo lost her life in the 2005 Sosoliso plane crash in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers state.
