Life Is Full Of Sam Larry’ — Portable Teases In New Song

Portable has called out Sam Larry, the music promoter, in what appears to be a tribute song to Mohbad titled ‘Alimi’.

Mohbad, 27, died on September 12 and was buried the next day.

The circumstance surrounding his death has continued to stir up controversies on social media.

The 29-year-old singer took to Instagram to share the snippet of the song featuring Abuga, his label signee.

In ‘Alimi’, Portable aims a dig at Larry who is a suspect in Mohbad’s demise.

Portable also advises artistes to take things gently “so you can see tomorrow”.

“Wọn ní gbé wa sìn/ Owo lama ri mọ́lẹ̀. Ẹ lè p’ogo bẹ ṣe pá Imole/ Ẹ má lè paná ògo/ Alimi Alimi/ Life is full of Sam Larry/ Let your things be Portable/ Don’t be so bad so that you can see tomorrow/ In case you want to ja pa like Marley/ Ọkàn gbogbo yín òní balẹ/ No peace for the wicked/ No sleep for the wicked,” he sings.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
